​1. What type of shooting do you offer?

We offer Driven pheasant shooting on the North Devon coast, with some highly challenging partridge within our drives.

 

2. Can I book as a single gun, or only as a full team?

Both. We offer days for full teams and single pegs.

 

3. What size days do you run?

Full team days range from 200 to 450 birds, and single gun days from 200 to 350 birds. 

 

4. When does the season run?

We start shooting around the 2nd week in October -  See our availability page for current dates.

 

5. Where are you, and how do I get there?

West of Barnstaple, along the Atlantic Highway in North Devon. EX39 5TF.  This is the postcode for The Red Lion Hotel where we meet prior to the shoot day.

 

6. What time should we arrive, and what does the day look like?

We meet at 9.00 to 9.15 under the Sail of The Red Lion Hotel next to the harbour when we have a welcome briefing and coffee. We normally aim on 3 drives before lunch with 1 after but this can vary on a number of conditions.  Mid morning drinks, canapés and lunch are taken in our bbq lode with private chef. 

 

7. Is accommodation available nearby?

As well as The Red Lion Hotel which is set on the ancient quayside of Clovelly we are happy to discuss alternatives with you.

 

8. Do I need to be an experienced shot?

We welcome guns of every level, from the highly experienced to the moderate shot. Our birds are high and challenging, but we also have drives to suit all.  If you are a beginner you must hire the services of a loader/instructor which we can arrange on your behalf.

 

9. Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we always welcome well behaved dogs.   If you wish your dog to pick up, we will introduce you to the head of our picking up team.

11. do you provide loaders ?

ou are welcome to bring your own loader or we can arrange one on your behalf - this payable on the day.
 

Am I able to change just transfer for my day or single guns  to the following season ?

In some circumstances this may be possible but not guaranteed.  Each request will be considered individually.
